Lymphangioma is a rare benign tumor of the the lymphatic tissue, most comminly occutting in the head and neck. Clinical manifestations of lymphangioma generally occur in childhood. We rreport a case of bilateral perirenal cystic mass associated with renal hypertension in an adult male. Ultrasonography revealed fluid collection with septa over bilateral perirenal spaces. Computerized tomography of the abdomen disclosed multiple confluent cystic lesion over the bilateral perirenal spaces. Exploratory surgery with unroofing and resection of left perirenal cystic lesions was performed and the histopathology revealed cystic lymphangioma. The patients post-operative course was uneventful. Herein, we report this rare disease entity and review the literature. |
