摘要 |
Pulmonary lymphangitic carcinomatosis (PLC) usually has a grave prognosis. This is a report of a 71-year-old obese woman, suffering from swallowing difficulties for more than 2 months and a persistent cough for 2 weeks. A preoperative examination revealed adenocarcinoma of the gastric cardia with a lower esophageal invasion, and CXR disclosed mild bilateral lower lung field infiltration. A worsening respiratory condition with an uncorrectable hyponatremia troubled her after the operation. A serial CXR disclosed an obvious bilateral interstitial lung discase with an unknown etiology. The perfusion scan (multiple vascular tumor emboli) is though to be a useful tool in identifying lymphangitic carcinomatosis. An unnecessary operation can be avoided if lymphangitic carcinomatosis can be detected first. |
