摘要	Sparganosis is an infection caused by migrating larva of the cestode genus Spirometra (belonging to the family Diphyllobothriidae). We present a case of subcutaneous sparganosis in an 11-year-old boy. He had complained of a painful mass in his abdominal wall for one month and became worse gradually. He received tumor excision and the histopathologic report revealed spargnosis. Thewoung healed normally and he remained symptom-free for 2 months after surgery.
