摘要
Spontaneous hemoperitoneum is a rare surgical condition with a high mortality in children. The causes and clinical manifestations are diverse. Thus, early diagnosis may be difficult and delayed treatment is common. We report two unusual cases of pediatric hemoperitoneum without a history of trauma. The first case is a 9-year-old girl who had a ruptured pancreatic tail tumor causing a massive intraperitoneal hemorrhage. Since the symptom/signs of hypovolemic shock were obvious, prompt diagnosis and surgical treatment ensued. Case two was a 14-month-old male baby who presented with transient consciousness loss, but stable vital signs initially. Progressive distension of the abdomen and a drop in the hemoglobin level were observed on the second day. An emergency laparotomy revealed a rupture of the huge mesenteric lymph nodes. These two patients both survived after the operation.
