摘要
Lower G-I bleeding after an appendectomy is a rare complication. This complication was seen more frequently in the early years, when the appendix stump was inverted. We report a case of lower G-I bleeding nine days after laparoscopic appendectomy in a 36 year-old man. We believe this is the first case reported in the era of complications of laparoscopic appendectomy. The diagnosis was established by colonoscopy. The bleeding artery was presumed to be an intramural branch to the appendix that was exposed due to inflammatory changes. The bleeding was controlled by epinephrine (bosmine) injection colonoscopically.
