摘要
Congenital bipartite scaphoid is a very rare condition. We present a case of 72-
year-old man with bilateral congenital bipartite scaphoid that was found incidentally after he had a falling accident. The X-ray of his wrist revealed two separate parts of scaphoid. The clear articular cartilage formation between the division of the right scaphoid was found during surgery. A magnetic resonance imaging revealed the same joint fluid and density of cartilage compared with other carpal bones. Congenital bipartite scaphoid does exist apart from traumatic pseudoarthrosis of the scaphoid and must be considered in the differential diagnosis of fracture of scaphoid.
