摘要	Traumatic diaphragmatic rupture is an uncommon event that is usually found only in a patient with multiple injuries. Diagnosis can be difficult and injuries may go unnoticed, leading to serious delayed complications. Herniation of abdominal viscera into the thorax following traumatic disphragmatic rupture can simulate acute tension pneumothorax. Tension gastrothorax is a rare, lift-threatening complication of traumatic diaphragmatic hernia. In this report, we discuss the case of a blunt trauma victim with acute diaphragmatic rupture and tension gastrothorax.
