篇名	Primary Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma of the Pleura: Report of A Case

摘要	Malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) is the most common soft tissue sarcoma of adulthood with a male preponderance, and it often involes the extremities and retroperitoneoum. Primary malignant fibrous giatiocytoma of the pleura is extremely rare. We report a 75-year-old male of huge MFH of the right pleura. A thoracotomy with chest wall resection and wedge resection of the right lower lobe (RLL) of the lung was performed. The diagnosis was established on the basis of pathologic microscopic findings and immunohistochemistry. Postoperatively, the patient refused adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy. We followed up this case for 8 months without local recurrence or metastasis. Most studies recommend adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy for these tumors, but its role merits further investigation.
