摘要 |
An acrochordon is usually a small, soft, benign, pedunculated neoplasm. Many
synonyms such as skin tag, fibroepithelial polyp, soft fibroma and pedunculated
fibroma have been used in the literature. Although it is common at other sites of the
body, the occurrence of acrochordon, particularly a giant one, on the nipple is very
rare. To the best of our knowledge, such a case has never been reported in the
English literature. Herein we report a case of a 79-year-old woman who developed
an 11 cm - long pedunculated tumor on the left nipple. The tumor was removed by
excision under general anesthesia and no recurrence was detected 2 years after the
initial management. Histological examination revealed a large but otherwise
unremarkable fibroepithelial polyp. There was no evidence of malignancy. |
