摘要 |
Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors or inflammatory pseudotumors are
uncommon lesions. Clinically, they are considered benign, expanile and
pseudosarcromatous lesions. The pathological mechanisms of the lesions remain
unclear. Such lesions are well-recognized in the lungs and in various other anatomic
locations as evident based on anatomical dissection, including central nervous
system, liver, spleen and the ears etc. There has been reported in the literature of
primary lung lesions directly invaded thoracic spine. However, cervical spine
involvement as the primary site has never been reported. We report a rare case of
cervical spinal inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor investigated by MRI and CT
scan; illustrations of histology are also included. We outline the clinical course of this
55 years-old female patient in this case report. |
