摘要 |
Dubin-Johnson syndrome (DJS) is a benign inherited disorder presenting with
conjugated hyperbilirubinemia. In most of these cases, patients with DJS have
asymptomatic hyperbilirubinemia, and their hepatic functions are otherwise well
preserved. Although the possibility of gallstone formation in DJS has been
documented, the definite correlation between cholelithiasis and DJS is still unclear.
We describe a 60-year-old man with symptomatic gallstones who suffered from
intermittent right upper abdominal pain for 10 months. Endoscopic retrograde
cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) performed on the basis of hyperbilirubinemia,
however, demonstrated a normal sized biliary tract. Several pigmented stones were
removed by a balloon occlusive method at the time of ERCP. Laparoscopic
examination disclosed a dark purple liver of normal size, and cholecystectomy was
subsequently performed without any complication. The patient was well at one-year
follow-up with a stable total bilirubin level. |
