摘要	We report a case of vague anal pain and failure to pass flatus after insertion of a big drinking glass into the rectum by the patient himself. Diagnostic imaging revealed an inverted cup in the lower abdominal cavity. After failure of attempts at manual extraction, the foreign body was removed transanally using obstetric forceps under general anesthesia. Although cases of impaction of glass objects in the rectum have been reported before, this type of clinical presentation is rare.
