Crohn’s disease is a common gastrointestinal disease in the Western world but is rare in Taiwan and seldom reported on this island. We report a case of incidental small intestinal tumor found during emergent laproscopic cholecystectomy. The histopathological findings of gross cobblestone appearance of the intestinal mucosa and transmural granulomatous inflammation without caseation have established the diagnosis of Crohn’s disease. Various radiologic modalities are useful for severity evaluation and treatment planning. However, the definitive diagnosis of Crohn’s disease relies on histopathology.
