摘要	Mesenteric cysts are relatively rare abdominal tumors. Because of lack of definitive diagnostic tests and various presentations, accurate preoperative diagnosis is difficult. We present a case of huge mesenteric cyst with an initial diagnosis of acute abdomen with a huge ovarian cyst. Laparotomy was performed immediately. The patient had an uneventful postoperative course, and was discharged on the 5th postoperative day. It is suggested always to keep the possibility of mesenteric cyst in mind when confronting a cystic lesion in the lower abdomen in female patients, and to investigate by ultrasonography. Since the potential complications of mesenteric cyst are evident, surgical intervention should be performed as soon as possible after diagnosis.
