摘要 |
Intradural disc herniation is a rare, serious complication of intervertebral disc
rupture that often occurs in the lumbar region. Although magnetic resonance
imaging (MRI) with gadolinium is useful in the diagnosis of this condition, accurate
preoperative diagnosis is still difficult, and the definitive diagnosis must be made
during surgery. We describe a 73-year-old woman who had experienced severe low
back pain with radiation to the left lower limb and mild weakness for several weeks.
MRI with gadolinium revealed an intradural soft-tissue mass at L2-3. During
surgery, intradural disc material was found and completely removed. The patient
had an excellent outcome. Intradural disc herniation should be considered in the
differential diagnosis of an intraspinal tumor. |
