篇名	Rupture of Mediastinal Schwannoma in A Type II Neurofibromatosis Patient Presenting with Traumatic Hemothorax

摘要	Traumatic hemothorax caused by a ruptured mediastinal schwannoma is rare. We report a 30-year-old male who had received a brain tumor operation. He suffered from postoperative convulsions and took medication regularly. He was sent to our hospital after a post-seizure traffic accident, and presented with massive left hemothorax which was found after insertion of chest tubes and unstable vital signs. The patient was successfully treated by emergent thoracotomy with resection of the ruptured schwannoma which was bleeding. A deletion mutation with frameshift of neurofibromatosis type 2 gene was detected by DNA sequencing.
