摘要 |
Delayed vascular injuries after hip arthroplasty are very rare, and most of the
causes were false aneurysm, preoperative bone fragments, or postoperative trauma.
We report a case of deep femoral artery injury 47 days after Austin-Moore
hemiarthroplasty for an 85-year-old male with femoral neck fracture. The cause of
arterial injury was an iatrogenic bone fragment during hemiarthroplasty, which has
not been reported. Hematoma evacuation, removal of the bone fragment, and
vascular repair were performed. The postoperative course was uneventful and the
patient could ambulate with the aid of a walker at 1-year follow up. |
