摘要	Gastric leiomyoma usually requires laparotomy and resection when it is a large size, and shows symptoms of compression, obstruction or hemor rhage. Successful laparoscopic excision of a rare dumbbell-shape gastric leiomayoma is reported. Minimally invasive procedure and rapidly recovery course are the advantages of laparoscopic surgery over open surgery, except for technique difficulty and the cost of laparoscopic devices. Review of the literature and suggested techniques and methods of similar procedures are also described.
