摘要 |
Mesenteric infarction is a serious surgical problem because of diagnostic
difficulty and high mortality rate. Sixty-four patients diagnosed with mesenteric infarction were treated at Veterans General Hospital-Taipei during
the period from January 1981 through May 1995. Clinical features, laboratory examinations, operative findings and procedures and in-hospital outcome were collected and analyzed retrospectively. The overall mortality rate was 46.9%. Patients with elevated serum amylase>180 u/L and a mesenteric infarction of length >100 cm had significantly higher mortality rates (75.0% and 57.4%, respectively) than did those patients with serum amylase <180 u/L and mesenteric infarction of length<100 cm (34.5% and 17.6%, respectively). There were no statistical differences in age, serum lactate dehydrogenase, serum creatine kinase or leukocytosis with WBC 15000/cumm. It was concluded that serum amylase levels and length of enteric infarction are two prognostic factors related to mortali patients with mesenteric infarction. |
