摘要
Progressive segmental stricture of the interposed colon for repair of esophageal deficiency after resection of esophageal leiomyoma in this 55 years old male patient was regarded as compression by hypertrophy of the sternal manubrium. The 10 cm long strictured intrathoracic colon segment was successfully reconstructed with a skin tube made with a free forearm flap. The reconstruction was accomplished by virtue of anastomosis of radial artery and cephalic vein to inferior thyroid artery and external jugular vein, radial vein to inferior thyroid vein. The patient assumed a smooth post-operative course and resumed oral intake in one month.
