A 26-year-old man, presented with the symptom of uncontrollable massive upper
gastrointestinal bleeding. The condition was diagnosed on the basis of pathological examination of the surgical specimen, which revealed multiple tumors of variable size that were scattered over the entire stomach with lesser omental lymph node metastasis. Furthermore, specimens from the bone marrow aspiration showed that the proportion of plasma cells was slightly increased, to a rate of about 14 %, and some of the plasma cells showed large nuclei and abundant cytoplasm, suggesting multiple myeloma. We report this unusual case and review of literature. |
