摘要	Appendicitis is a common disease, but rarely presents as lower right quadrant abdominal wall abscess. In this report, a 65-year-old female developed abdominal wall abscess over the lower right quadrant for about one month, without trauma history or gastrointestinal symptoms. The diagnosis of appendicitis presenting with abdominal wall abscess was made only after surgical intervention. The recovery course of this patient was smooth. We reported this rare case and reviewed the literature.
