篇名	Primary Pulmonary Leiomyosarcoma in An Elderly Woman: A Case Report

摘要	Primary leiomyosarcoma of the lung is a very rare malignant tumor arising from smooth muscle components of the lung tissue. This rare tumor can mimic bronchial carcinoma and present with local or systemic symptoms. It occurs predominantly in men, which is similar to bronchial carcinoma, but the average age of occurrence of the former is two decades younger than that of the latter. Herein, we present a 70-year-old woman with a 20 cm pulmonary leiomyosarcoma being successfully resected through a left thoracotomy. The diagnosis of a primary pulmonary leiomyosarcoma was confirmed after extensive clinical and radiological investigations failed to identify an alternative primary source. The patient remains well and has shown no evidence of recurrent tumors after 18 months of follow up.
