摘要	Intra-articular dislocation of the patella is a rare injury. It is the result of direct blunt injury from lateral or medial foreces applied to the patellar edge, causing rotatory displacement of the patellar articular surface. This report describes a 30-year-old woman who presented with her knee locked in full extension at the Emergency Room. The patella appeared with verical rotational deformity caused the medical border of the patella facing anteriorly and medially, resulted from direct blunt injury. Closed reduction was successful by slight manipulation under intravenous sedation. The patient recevied conservative treatment with NSAIDs drug and was referred tho OPD (outpatient department) for follow up.
