摘要 |
Hemangiomas of the mediastinum are rare tumors. A 21-year-old man presented with sudden onset of chest pain for one day. The initial chest film showed an anterior mediastinal mass. A contrast-enhanced computed tomographic (CT) scan and MRI of the chest showed an enhanced and homogeneous mass in anterior mediastinal was found. Intraoperatively, the tumor occupied in the anterolateral mediastinum with adhesion of the left pulmonary artery, left lung and left phrenic nerve. The cut surface showed elastic and soft. Cystically dilated spaces filled with blood were also found. Histologically, cavernous hemangioma was diagnosed. Mediastinal cavernous hemangioma is extremely rare. Surgical excision is the first choice of treatment. |
